I did not come up through consulting. I came up inside the machine, building and running actual compliance infrastructure across defense contracting, aerospace joint ventures, healthcare, and international trade. Not writing reports about it. Doing it.
As Director of Contracts for global OEM engine joint ventures, I served as Secretary to the Board of Directors, negotiated complex international agreements, and secured a $3M settlement with zero outside counsel. I contributed to a $14.7B USAF T-X pursuit and earned a Silver Award for that work.
I built an entire compliance infrastructure from scratch for a ~$40M commercial and defense portfolio: ITAR, EAR, OFAC, FAR/DFARS, NIST 800-171. No external consultants. Then expanded the mandate to IT modernization, cybersecurity architecture, and CUI controls. I also managed a $100M+ healthcare contracting portfolio spanning capital assets, IT, and strategic suppliers.
Today I hold enterprise government contracts and export control authority across 30+ affiliated companies, advising legal and trade compliance teams on FAR/DFARS structuring, ITAR/EAR risk allocation, and defense program compliance architecture across 22 additional entities.
I have a BA in Philosophy with an emphasis in Philosophy of Law & Jurisprudence. It turns out that is exactly the right foundation for someone who spends their career dissecting regulatory language and finding where the real risk lives.
