Fourteen years inside the machine.
I did not come up through consulting. I came up inside the work — building and running contracts and compliance operations across defense contracting, aerospace joint ventures, healthcare, and international trade. Both sides of the table, government and commercial.
Career Highlights
Director of Contracts — Global OEM Engine Joint Ventures
Served as Secretary to the Board of Directors, negotiated complex international agreements with zero outside counsel, and contributed to a $14.7B USAF T-X pursuit — earning a Silver Award for that work.
Compliance Infrastructure — Commercial & Defense Portfolio
Built a complete compliance program from scratch for a ~$40M commercial and defense portfolio — ITAR, EAR, OFAC, FAR/DFARS, NIST 800-171 — with no external consultants. Expanded the mandate into IT modernization, cybersecurity architecture, and CUI controls.
Healthcare Contracting — $100M+ Portfolio
Managed a $100M+ portfolio spanning capital assets, IT, and strategic suppliers.
Enterprise Contracts & Export Control Authority
Today I hold enterprise government contracts and export control authority across 30+ affiliated companies, advising legal and trade compliance teams on FAR/DFARS structuring, ITAR/EAR risk allocation, and defense program compliance architecture across 22 additional entities.
Education
Philosophy — Law & Jurisprudence
Northern Arizona University · Flagstaff, AZ
The right foundation for someone who spends their career dissecting regulatory language and finding where the real risk actually lives.
Outside the Day Job
I run Clause for Concern, a YouTube channel where I put the documents everybody signs and nobody reads on screen and go through them line by line. Leases. Offer letters. Gym memberships. Terms of service. The things you already agreed to.
